Instagram downloader for Windows
Paste a post, profile or gallery link and Awesome Downloader lays out everything it finds as a grid of thumbnails. Tick the ones you want, or take the lot, and they save together in a single pass. It handles reels and video posts the same way.
Version 3.0.0 · 111 MB · No ads, no subscription, no sign-up
Whole galleries at once
A carousel post with fourteen images used to mean fourteen separate saves. The Images tab reads the post, shows every item as a thumbnail, and gives you Select all alongside individual checkboxes.
Each file keeps its original resolution. Nothing is recompressed on the way through.
Reels and video posts
Reels download as ordinary MP4 files at the resolution they were published at. If you only need the audio, switch the format to audio-only and the app writes an MP3 instead.
The timecode clipping described elsewhere on this site works here too, so you can take a few seconds out of a longer reel.
Posts that need a sign-in
Private accounts, age-gated posts and some regional content return nothing to an anonymous request. Rather than failing with a cryptic error, the app offers two routes: sign in inside its own browser tab, or borrow the session from a browser you already use.
Either way the session stays on your machine and is handed to the downloader locally. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
